This World AIDS Day the Wandsworth LGBT forum are involved in a special screening of the inspirational Oscar nominated documentary film 'How To Survive A Plague' at the Clapham Picturehouse.
Starting at the beginning of AIDS epidemic in the 1980s the film follows the struggle of the AIDS activists protest group 'ACT UP' and their fight to develop effective HIV/AIDS treatment to save their dying community.
Universally praised by the critics and adorned with awards alike 'Plague' is an emotionally fueled cinematic experience that fills you with power, anger and hope.
World AIDS Day is the perfect time to reflect and show our gratitude of what our community went through in the fight against HIV.
