We thought it would be a good idea to include a section of the new site dedicated to knowing your council. All too often residents are not sure as to what is available to them and it is our hope by including this people’s knowledge will increase.
If you aren’t aware of what’s available to you as a resident of Wandsworth, want to know who your local councillor/MP is or even if it’s to see what’s happening across the borough this is where you can find out by following visiting www.wandsworth.gov.uk
Wandsworth is administered by 60 councillors and has been predominantly Conservative for the last 32 years. As it stands of the 2010 election 47 are Conservative and 13 are Labour. You can find your local councillor here:

We are also hoping that the council will utilise this section to share information of what specific departments within the council are doing on LGBT. For example, there is a current review on the council’s equality plan.
